  • May 3rd

This beautiful barn is an early 1800’s barn from Chambersburg, Pa.  The man who dismantled this barn is six generations removed from the original builder of the barn!  It is a 34 by 78 ft. hand hewn oak bank barn.  There are five bents and four bays in the barn.  the wall height is 19’4″ and the peak is appx. 28 ft.  The crossties lie at appx. 12.5 ft., creating a very high first floor if this is converted into living quarters or a dual purpose building with a second floor.   The vertical posts all  measure 7 by 10″.
