Beehive Cabin

  • Berks County, Pa.
  • C. 1825

This cabin was a summer kitchen on an early 1800’s farmstead.  Ironically, the man who purchased this structure and had it rebuilt on his property worked on the farm where this building originally stood when he was a young boy!  After all the structural repairs were made to this cabin, the new owners restored it to a historically accurate and beautiful piece of history.  The used barn ladders to hang pots, kept the bake-oven stove (which they use to bake bread!) and even put glass bottles in the chinking to allow for more light in the building.
